REVIEW THE PARADE NRC

NRC, by Ron Rijghard

The young dancers in Role Model by DOX and Nicole Beutler, the choreographer who was awarded the Gieskes-Strijbis Podium Prize (60,000 euros) last week as a maker who enriches the stage landscape, are really completely themselves. The six women look powerful and tough, both during their flashy urban dance moves and in the moments when they talk about themselves. They are not average, they say, but all the more combative. Their vulnerable and self-confident attitude makes Role model an inspiring mix of dance, theater and rap.
