Two male dancers meet in all their strength and gentleness. They come from vastly different worlds and are connected by a complex colonial history. How do they dream up a shared future?
Under the direction of inspirational speaker Michelle Schenandoah and theater director Nicole Beutler, ROOM IN OUR HOUSE reflects on one of the most urgent questions of our time: how can we live together in peace? In times of polarization, crisis, and war, ROOM IN OUR HOUSE offers a groundbreaking counter-narrative.
Inspired by the worldview of the Haudenosaunee and the writings of Oneida writer and activist Ty Defoe, Schenandoah and Beutler invite the audience to explore everyone’s responsibility in peacemaking. The performance can be seen from June 12 to 21 2026 during Oerol Festival at the outdoor amphitheater De Rondte.
