A film by Quirine Racké, Helena Muskens, Nicole Beutler and the Diamond Dancers
A large group of line dancers travels to Amsterdam in a white tour bus to perform a flash mob on Dam Square. A flash mob is usually a surprise performance by young people, but now it is a group of elderly dancers who enjoy showing themselves to the passers-by. The dancers literally and figuratively occupied the space and therefore stretched the boundaries of our expectations. Diamond Dancers is made in the frame of Point Taken, a Cross-disciplinary dance film project, in collaboration with the Media Fund, the Arts Fund, NTR and Cinedans.
